For starters, I have never been one to brag about my hair-doing skills…in fact I still don’t brag about those skills because well…I don’t have any skills in that area.  I am also relatively lazy when it comes to my hair.  I wake up about 20 minutes before I have to walk out the door for work and in those 20 minutes I have to pick out my outfit, brush my teeth and do something with my hair, throw a quick lunch together, make my coffee, let the dog out, feed and water him and other random oddities.  I am just not willing to commit myself to waking up earlier just to do my hair.

It’s worth noting that I work in an educational setting so taking the time to do my hair is just not worth it anyway.

So, with all that being said, today I’m going to show you five of my favorite, insanely quick, lazy girl hairstyles. These each take around 5 minutes to throw together in the morning.  They’re easy and don’t take a lot of effort which is a plus for me.

Also, as an added bonus, these can all be built off of one another so if you’re lazy like me and don’t wash your hair for a few days, you can still rock some cute hairstyles for a week 😂😂

Effortless Waves

This is one I’m really excited to share! For an early Christmas gift, Ryan bought me a 25mm L’Ange curling wand to replace the very old curling iron I had. I had been wanting to give a curling wand a second try after I had one a few years back and burned my neck pretty bad.  So I committed to giving it another try because I use my curling iron like a wand anyway, totally ignoring the clip and just wrapping my hair around the barrel.

Anyway, back to the waves. Simply heat up your curling tool of choice and while that’s happening, hit your hair with some heat protectant.  Another trick I like to use is to spray your hair with some dry shampoo. My hair is really soft and sometimes doesn’t hold curl very well so spraying it with dry shampoo really helps to give it some hold. Before curling a piece of hair I also will spray it with hairspray.

In the interest of time, I really only curl the top section of hair. I curl back my bangs, and then I’ll just curl a few pieces to give the appearance of a fully curled head of hair because tricking your friends is really cool.

These waves are so simple and so pretty and you could easily get away with these for two days before they really fall.

Pinned Back

You get a two for one here really.  Sometimes I’ll twist back my bangs and pin them or sometimes I’ll do a little braid, fluff it out and pin that back.

The Low Bun

I like to do a low bun when I’m wear a hat or even if I just feel like doing something a little out of the ordinary for me. This is a super cute, easy little hairstyle and if you added some cute pins or a headband, this could even be taken to the next level to be a bit more formal!

“The Hun”

When I cut my hair short, this hairstyle was a staple for me! I sometimes enjoy wearing my hair down but, like I said, I work I a kindergarten classroom and so it’s not always very practical to have my hair down. However, if I don’t want to put it all the way up, I’ll just pull back the top/front sections of my hair and put them up in a tiny little messy bun. Super simple, super cute!

The Messy Bun

Ok, ladies…we all know this one too well and I think it goes without saying that this is everyone’s favorite. When I do a messy bun, I pull all my hair up and hold it with one hand.  Then, I pull the hair tie off of my opposite wrist, and around my hair like I’d be putting my hair into a ponytail.  I pull my hair through the hair tie but not all the way through, then I twist the hair tie around the little loopy-bun again and you’ve got yourself a little bun.  You can then pull at it, pin it back if you like but I typically just leave it as is, or do it all over again if I don’t like the way it turned out 🙈.

So there you have it, y’all! 5 really simple and easy hairstyles that can be thrown together really quickly for all us lazy girls in the world.

Let me know if you like seeing hair posts from me and I’ll try to do some more!
