I had fully intended to share this MONTHS ago.  Then, thanks to Coronavirus…everything got flipped on its head and so this post got pushed back while we figured our lives out.

Before March, I was using our home office for myself.  As y’all may know/remember, I used to work as an ESL teacher online for kids in China.

However, in June Ryan and I made the decision for me to quit that job and focus more on my blog and my work as a virtual assistant.

Anyway, with Ryan working full-time, completely from home now, our home office has changed a bit.  I’ve been dying to share a little tour of this space.  Today, I’m sharing this little reveal with y’all and how exactly we use the office now that we’re both work-from-home parents!

SHOP MY DESK

For starters, this deskTHIS. DESK, y’all.  Ryan surprised me with this a few months ago and I immediately fell in love.  It is the perfect size for the space, has plenty of room for storage (but not too much, which is great for me!), and it’s absolutely gorgeous.

These “It is well with my soul” printables are a free download from Moritz Fine Designs and I framed them using frames that we’ve had for years from Ikea!

My sweet friend Melissa created this GORGEOUS sign that has my blog name hand-lettered on it.  I cannot say enough good things about her handy work, y’all.  You might remember seeing her work from Macie’s first birthday party! If you’re interested in seeing more of her work, you can find her Instagram page right here!

I feel like we need something else to go underneath of this sign.  I’ve been thinking about adding a little floating shelf like this one.  I’m hoping to add a cute little plant or something just to jazz up that little corner!

We knew that we wanted this space to be a multi-purpose room.  For Christmas this year, we got Macie this beautiful play table from Pottery Barn Kids.  It’s fabulous because it’s the perfect size for her to just stand at but you can also buy legs to make it taller for some little chairs to go underneath!

For now, we put a basket of books and just a few little toys here for her to stay entertained while we get some work done.  We’ve also got the TV hung up on the wall and that’s a big help for keeping her entertained as well! Bubble Guppies usually does the trick 😉 Macie loves playing in here and it’s a nice change up for her from time to time!

It’s not a huge space so really, this is all we’ve got here.  Even though it’s a smaller home office, it’s super functional for us and we couldn’t be happier with the way it all turned out!

Do y’all have a home office? What are some things in your office that you love? Let me know!
